Just back from Saskatoon
Hi All
Just back from a week of gigs, clinics and teaching at the SaskTel Jazz Festival in Saskatoon, SK. Had a wonderful time and met some great new friends. Played in both Saskatoon and Regina with a couple of different configurations of bands, all of which involved Dean McNeil (trumpet player, composer, educator, band leader) and it was loads of fun. Played piano on most of the gigs, but was able to play saxophone on the final one. This marks the first saxophone gig since the gall bladder surgery and I was pleasantly surprised to find zero discomfort. Miraculous sugery indeed.
Trish and I are taking a few weeks off (holidays starting on Wednesday) so we are shutting down the phones and email for a while and getting away from the tyranny of work.
