Hope you might be able to come out to the Montreal Bistro in Toronto on Sep 27. to hear the U of T Faculty Jazz Septet Plus One with guest Yamaha artist and Canadian jazz legend, PJ Perry (alto). The band includes: Kevin Turcotte (trpt), Terry Promane (tbn), Kirk MacDonald (ten), Alex Dean (alto), Phil Nimmons (clar), Paul Read (pno), Dave Young (bass) and Terry Clarke on drums.

Hi. I’m off this week to pursue a non-musical, but very spiritual activity. I am climbing/ hiking in Colorado. My climbing partner is John Davis, head of the jazz studies program at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I’ll post some pictures and a bit of a diary when I return on September 15.
